Mojang–the company responsible for developing the hugely successful video game Minecraft–must be giving off some major Mojo because Microsoft announced this week that it is acquiring the Swedish-based developer for a whopping $2.5 Billion. In the acquisition, the game’s creators will be leaving the company. “Though we’re massively proud of what Minecraft has become, it was never [our] intention for it to get this big,” Mojang wrote, “the only option was to sell.”
