The volcano Mt. Tavurvur in Papua New Guinea is a feisty little beast. It erupted in 1937 and 1994, nearly destroying the local township of Rabaul both times. Just last week, Mt. Tavurvur decided to make a scene once again. An Australian couple witnessed the volcano go boom boom while on vacation in the area, and they just happened to catch the whole episode on camera. You can see the shockwave from the explosion sweep away several clouds before it blasts its way past the couple’s boat. Check out the worthwhile vid.
